These wonderfully relaxed and candid photography sessions, allow us to capture your immediate family’s unique recipe – that blend of love, fun and personalities that only your family can share.

Held in the comfort of your own home, the kids (and parents!) have a ball; they have your undivided attention (quality time!)  for a couple of hours and love sharing the activities and experience with you.

Make cupcakes, cookies or home-made pizza, blow bubbles, play a board game, read a favourite story, let the kids play dress-ups, or jump on the bed… the possibilities are endless – the results are delicious – magical moments captured with your family.

Each ‘Family Recipe’ includes the following:

• A pre-session consultation (by phone or in person) to plan what bests suits YOUR family (including suggestions for best time of day, clothing, activities and more)
• A minimum of 2 hours with your photographer
• Unlimited capture of creative images
• Two 5 x 7 inch archive quality professional prints
• A $150 credit towards prints of your choice
• A Facebook ready digital copy of each purchased image from your session.

Lauren and Matt’s Engagement Party ~ Brisbane Wedding Photographer

There are few occasions in life, where you just know that something is meant to be… and so it was when I met the gorgeous Lauren, with her handsome fiance Matt.

As well as looking so good together, they just fit.  As Matt held Lauren close and told her how honoured he was that she had said ‘Yes’, and that She was the best person he’d ever known, I was moved by the deep love and mutual respect they obviously share.

Amongst treasured family and friends at the gorgeous Waterloo Hotel in Fortitude Valley, they celebrated their engagement and the start of a new life together.   Here’s a few sneak peek images from the evening for you to enjoy, Thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful celebration…my sincere Congratulations!  Clare x

Alison and Michael ~ Brisbane Wedding Photography

There wasn’t a dry eye in the park.  Alison was finally marrying her true soul mate Michael,  in the beautiful surrounds of the South Bank Parklands.  Her gorgeous gown was a reflection of the stunning purple Bougainvillea in bloom, and the vibrant love she felt for the man she would marry. It was an absolute pleasure to capture images of this lovely, down to earth couple’s most special day… I wish you both so much joy and years of love together.  Clare x

Jungle Fever hits Lightspace – Brisbane Event Photography

Lightspace is one of those amazingly malleable venues, that can be transformed to create any theme or mood you wish to reflect. This particular corporate client styled a vibrant, fun and memorable event that transported their guests into a groovy jungle club, filled with lush trees, funky furniture, vivid lights and an african vibe.  So much fun to photograph and their guests had a ball.  Here’s  just a few of the stunning setup shots.

Cupcakes, balloons, glamour and games… what a beautiful baby shower!

I’ve been to so many, and shot quite a few… and let me tell you, this baby shower was just divine.

With wonderful friends and a delicious High Tea (at the sumptuous Stamford Plaza) hilarious games and the most glamorous mum-to-be. 

Within minutes of meeting Melanie, it was clear to me, that besides being a stunning woman, she’s a beautiful person too – her smile lights up the room, but her way of making you feel like YOU are  most important person there, warms your heart and you’re hooked!

There was so much laugher, genuine hugs and love in the room, this special day was a pleasure to capture.  Princess Peanut (as her bub-to-be is affectionately known) is one lucky little girl.

Family Portrait Photography – Two families, one great shoot!

The weather was perfect; fine and slightly cloudy – creating a giant softbox in the sky! (photographer’s speak for ‘a perfect day to take professional family portraits‘) 

 Two sister’s and their respective families were waiting; slightly nervous but ready to have fun, and after a quick cup of coffee and a ‘get to know you’ chat, we captured some gorgeous family photos at their property. Quite often, having a shoot done in the comfort and familiarity of your own home can help kids (and adults) feel more relaxed.

Elegant Corporate Event at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art

It’s wonderful to be busy… I promise you’ll never catch me complaining!  I do however have the occasional regret, and today it’s that I haven’t made the time to update my blog more regularly.  So, instead of lamenting what I should do… I’m gonna take a leaf out of Nike’s book and ’Just Do It!’

As many of you know, event photography is just one of the photographic genres that Lucid Photography specialises in.  A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of capturing a high-end corporate function at the fantastic GoMA in South Brisbane. 

The view was amazing, the decor impeccable and the entertainment… top-notch - a fantastic Sydney based act called ‘The Super Supremes’  big hair, bling costumes and brilliant voices.

I just love shooting events… I’m sure sometimes I have more fun than the guests do!

Rachel and Shannon sitting in a tree…K.I.S.S.I.N.G – a wedding to remember!

I hope you got the intro line…it reflects the young at heart personality of this gorgeous couple…everytime I caught Rachel looking at Shannon, the sparkle in her eyes and the joy in her smile reflected all that’s good about Love - the woman was a young girl again, besotted with her beau and he, quite simply, adored her.

Their wedding was a much celebrated union that so many friends and family had waited for…”they had finally found eachother and were complete”

Held at the gorgeous Sails Restaurant in Noosa, QLD  (right on the beach) the wedding was elegant but relaxed, meaningful but fun…much like these two together!

Fun, fitness and family at the RACQ Insurance International Women’s Day Fun Run/Walk 2010

What happens when you put out a challenge to women, one that invites them to unite for an amazing cause (chicks in pink) to support women with breast cancer?  One that calls for personal effort, time and cost? One that encourages a sense of family and community?….  What happens is over 7500 fabulous women from all walks of life, came together to participate in the RACQ Insurance International Women’s Day Fun Run/Walk held at Southbank on Sunday 7 March 2010.  The event is owned and run by The Brisbane Road Runners Club who generously choose to donate proceeds to chicks in pink.

I felt immensely proud to witness this show of support and kindness from womankind…there was even welcomed participation from quite a few men who recognised the cause rather than the gender.

I was commissioned to capture the sense of fun and community in the precinct, with actual race shots captured by sporting images. Here are a few of the shots from the day, with many more still to be edited and posted to my gallery within the next 2 weeks, so that individuals can order copies if they wish.

Stunning residence showcases DesignBuild Homes.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this DesignBuild home to capture shots for their marketing material.

There’s nothing like shooting a spacious, opulent home to ponder the shortcomings of your own…it’s an occupational hazard I’m afraid… my wish list grows by the week, much to chagrin of my bank manager!

But I digress… this home really did inspire me: clean lines, open plan living, unique features and elegant comforts.  Just so happens I have one of the photos pinned securely on my vision board now (next to the hasselblad H4D-60 camera and a luxury holiday in the Maldives!)  Enjoy the pics and let your imagination run free…or call DesignBuild to make it a reality!
